Default NC Man, Missing 2 Years, Found Dead

http://www.news-record.com/content/2...ist_found_dead

SHELBY (AP) - The skeletal remains of a man on Cleveland County's Most Wanted List since February 2007 have been found, more than two years after he was last seen.
The Shelby Star reports that Larry Dean Mincey's remains were found in a wooded area on Christmas Day by a hunter.
Cleveland County Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Bobby Steen says the hunter's dogs also found a wallet and a pill bottle with the bones.
The remains were taken to the medical examiner's office in Charlotte. Steen said exactly how Mincey died won't be known until the results of his autopsy are complete, but no foul play had been suspected.
Mincey, last seen in 2006, was wanted on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

SHELBY - The key to a lot of answers surrounding Larry Dean Mincey's death now sits in Charlotte.
As it stands now, Cleveland County Sheriff's Capt. Bobby Steen doesn't know how or when Mincey, formerly of 2542 South Post Road, died. His body was found Christmas Day by a hunter.
"You're talking about two years he was missing," Steen said.
Mincey's remains were sent to the Medical Examiner's Office in Charlotte. Steen looks to hear from them soon.
"There are a lot of factors involved. The main factor is hearing what Charlotte has to say," he said.
Steen hopes a thorough examination will answer how Mincey died.
"Anything that may tell us either way or the other - natural or any foul play," he said.
Officials initially suspected no foul play, he said.
But what if Charlotte's team can't produce results?
"Unless we can come up with something that shows some foul play, that there was nothing to cause him trauma to the body, we'll look at everything and then go from there," Steen said.
Mincey, 38, was on Cleveland County's Most Wanted List since February 2007 for charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
His remains were discovered by Dean Putnam, of Clive Harrill Road, who said that he was out in the woods looking for a deer he had shot a few weeks before. Instead, his dogs stumbled upon a human skeleton. A wallet and pill bottle were found with the body as well, reports read.
Police say Putnam called law enforcement after he made the discovery. Mincey was last reported seen in 2006.
