Commerce City Police Investigate Missing Child
Amber Alert Not Appropriate, Police Say

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. -- Commerce City police officers are currently investigating a report of a missing child with "suspicious circumstances."

Officers were called to an apartment in the 5600 block of Olive St. at about 4 p.m., on a missing child.

Officers to investigate the incident and the mother of the child is cooperating with the investigation. Police have not released any identifying information on the missing child, including the child's name, age or gender.


It is not believed that any other children or residents in the area are in any danger, police said.

Based on initial information, police determined an Amber Alert is not appropriate at this time and would not say what the suspicious circumstances were.

Due to the preliminary stage of the investigation, no other details are being released.
