This particular case has baffled me since it was removed from the Doe Network about five years ago. When I asked one of the Doe Network staff about it, they simply stated that they took it down because the Mexican missing persons site on which Mónica's case was also posted had taken down her profile. That site, Procuraduria General de la Republica (Attorney General's Office) has also ceased to exist. On this board, Mónica was mentioned in the following thread about Caledonia Jane Doe (post #16) as having recently been connected to a serial killer:

The reason I'm trying to find out more about Mónica is because I think she could be a possible match to these Jane Does:

There was only one small picture of Mónica in her Doe Network profile, but I remember it vividly. It was somewhat blurry and looked as if someone took the photo in direct sunlight, but it was a headshot of Mónica looking slightly upward; it looked somewhat posed. She had dark curly hair worn in an afro, a lighter complexion, and looked to be wearing just a bit of makeup. Very pretty girl.

I'm currently writing a letter to the Querétaro Police Dept. in Mexico to ask if they can give me any info, such as when she specifically went missing and under what circumstances (don't know how much they'd be willing to help, but it's worth a try). In fact, I'm not even sure how old she was at the time, but I think I remember hearing that she was 15. Knowing when she went missing would definitely rule her in or out as as a match to 152ufnj (murdered 4/3/79) and Cali Doe (murdered 11/8/79). The profile sketch of the 24UFCA looks SO much like the photograph of Mónica, even down to the expression on her face.

This almost seems to be a missing/unidentified person case to me. We know Mónica González Castillo went missing from Querétaro in 1979, but just who exactly was Mónica González Castillo in the first place?

I found this picture in the Rodney Alcala thread on Websleuths and thought this young lady bore an uncanny resmeblance to Mónica:

This woman definitely looks older than 15, but I remember first looking at Mónica's picture and thinking she was in her early 20s until I found some info that stated she was olnly a teen at the time of her disappearance.

Based on my description of Mónica, do you think there is any resemblance?

Hope you can get a picture. Can't remember I ever heard about her, and it is strange there isn't a picture anywhere?
